Toolcaise documentation.
Start with the plugin, learn the structured page workflow, and connect AI clients only when you are ready to scope their access.
Quick start
Toolcaise installs as a standard WordPress plugin. Use a staging site for your first installation so you can verify the editor and publishing path without affecting live content.
- 01Download the current Toolcaise release.
- 02Upload the zip under Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- 03Activate Toolcaise, open a page, and launch the builder.
- 04Make a small draft change and inspect the responsive preview.
Build a page
The navigator, canvas, and settings inspector all edit one structured page document. Add sections and widgets, adjust responsive controls, and promote repeated values into global tokens.
Navigator
Select, reorder, and understand the page hierarchy.
Canvas
See the composed page and edit content in context.
Settings
Control content, style, layout, and responsive behavior.
Library
Start with reusable blocks, 85+ sections, or 12 full pages.
Publish safely
Preview before publishing. Toolcaise validates structured writes, detects stale concurrent edits, and creates revision history so a known-good version can be restored.
Connect an AI client
Create a site-scoped API key from Dashboard → Settings. Choose read-only access for inspection or read/write access for clients that need to save drafts and publish. Keys are shown once.
https://toolcaise.com/api/mcpKeep keys outside source control. If access changes, revoke the old key and issue a new site-scoped key.
